Over the summer of 2018, A Tutti Pizza opened it’s doors in the old All-Star Pizza space at 5154 Ridge Ave near the Wissahickon Train Station.
The restaurant is headed by owner Paul Marrone who opened A Tutti upon returning to Philadelphia after working in Las Vegas and helping his brother build a wedding venue in Arkansas. Paul wanted to open a restaurant for everyone, a comfortable neighborhood spot with great food and a great atmosphere. His goal is clear in his choice of the restuarant’s name which means “For Everyone.”
The location is familiar to many in the neighborhood, it used to be home to All-Star Pizza. Gone are the neon lights and blue awning. Paul completely remodeled the space into a beautiful and inviting restaurant with a comfortable rustic appeal. He’s managed to create a space that’s great for anything from a date night to a casual dinner with family and friends. It’s also a great spot for birthday parties and events. One friend arranged to host their kid’s birthday party there and I’ve hosted wine tastings there, as well.
There’s a bar in the back of the restaurant with two big-screen tv’s for game day (Note: Paul has also been kind enough to put Peppa Pig on one of the tv’s for my daughter to watch). A Tutti is a BYOB restaurant so if you’re going to watch a game at the bar, be sure to bring your own.
The menu revolves around house-made pastas, variations on Neapolitan-style pizzas, and a variety of fresh Italian appetizers and salads. The menu isn’t complex, but the execution of each dish is excellent. Personal favorites include the fresh homemade mozzarella, antipasta and focaccia, the Margherita (“plain”) and Bianca Anglio (white) pizzas, and the fettuccine and meatballs. The freshness of the dishes certainly make for a great experience.
Paul has also done a great job of hiring a friendly staff who help make guests feel welcome. He also makes sure guests feel welcome by making the rounds to introduce himself and chat with diners. He brings that personal touch that makes A Tutti a great addition to the neighborhood.

The Philadelphia area is a great place to live and work and I love sharing all that Philadelphia has to offer. From our unique neighborhoods and towns, great parks, amazing restaurants and nightlife, museums, and events there’s no shortage of things to do and see in, and near, Philadelphia. Since 2010, I’ve been helping people buy and sell their homes in the Philadelphia area specializing in Center City, Northwest Philadelphia, and the Montgomery County suburbs bordering the city. Outside of being a Realtor®, I’m a dad to an amazing little girl, husband to an amazing wife, and dog-dad to Frida. Together, we enjoy taking advantage of everything that Philadelphia has to offer and exploring the many parks, festivals, and events in the city. Since 2017, I’ve been supporting KenCrest through volunteer efforts including organizing cleaning and painting days at their community homes, decorating for the holidays at children’s transitional homes, and coordinating fundraising and toy drives to support their efforts.
