The Pretzel Park Dog Park is an off-leash dog park located along Cresson and Cotton Streets one block away from Main Street in Manayunk. The park is a great place for dogs to run around and get some exercise and a great place to meet other local dog lovers.
The Upper Roxborough Reservoir Preserve is a 34-acre park bound by Port Royal Ave, Lare St, Summit Ave, and Eva St in northwest Philadelphia. There’s a small parking lot on the corner of Port Royal and Lare. Stairs lead up to the path around the park where you’ll see views of the reservoir, a scenic field, and woods. There are two vistas along the path where you’ll find views of Upper Roxborough and the Center City skyline. The Upper Roxborough Reservoir Preserve is a great place to bring kids and for dog-walking (dogs must be on a leash).

Even though it’s mid-February, expect to see the busy Spring real estate market start to pick up very soon. If this year is anything like last year we should expect to see more new real estate listings go on the market in Roxborough and Manayunk in March than at any other time during the year. The chart below shows the new listings by month for Roxborough and Manayunk in 2017. The number of new homes on the market nearly doubled in March compared to February. What does this mean for home buyers and sellers?
You can’t walk a block in Center City without coming across a great restaurant. But, there’s also some lesser known spots that are definitely worth trying. Around the college campuses in the city you’ll find a huge variety of food trucks, but in Center City you’ll find smaller food carts along most of the main streets that shouldn’t be missed.
Sometimes, we get a beautiful day in the winter that feels a bit like spring. With a toddler who’d been stuck inside for a couple of days and a nice break in the weather, it was time to get out a bit. If you’re looking for something to do with kids on these winter days, the Zoo is definitely worth checking out.
