I don’t know about you, but we are absolutely wiped out from the holidays. Here’s a light list of activities in the neighborhood to help ease us into to the new year.

Tuesday, January 7th

The King of Love

A theatrical tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, written by Dice Raw who was inspired by the Nina Simone song The King of Love. Venice Island Performing Arts Center, 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Wednesday, January 8th

Dobson Dine to Donate

Help support our local schools by having a meal at Adobe Cafe and mentioning Dobson School. Adobe Cafe, starting at 4:00 pm.

Thursday, January 9th

Jump, Jive and Jam

Get your little musical ones rockin’ and a-rollin’ with Jump, Jive, and Jam at the Leverington Presbyterian Church, 10:30 am.

Friday, January 10th

Dance with Merge Dance Studio

Aimed at the preschool crowd, bring your kiddos for some dancing and fun at the Roxborough Branch of the Free Library, 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

Saturday, January 11th

Friendly Bridge Club

A social card club where all levels of players are welcome. Andorra Branch of the Free Library, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Open Houses in Roxborough & Manayunk

This will be a slow weekend for Open Houses, but there will be a few. Sellers often wait until after the holidays to list there homes for sale and we’ll see more and more new homes on the market, and more Open Houses, over the next few months with a trickle in January and a growing number in February.
